In response to Rose's comments, Brodeur told People that he was awaiting official communication from the Miss Universe Organization. That confirmation came with the September 15 press release, which emphasized the pageants' long history and cultural impact. Miss Universe highlighted that Miss USA, with its 74-year legacy, and Miss Teen USA, which has been running for 42 years, have consistently provided a platform for women to launch careers in fashion, media, entertainment, business, and public service.
