Jenna Ortega's motto for the 2025 Emmys? Be brave or stay at home. And the Wednesday star did just that when she showed up in a bold red carpet ensemble for the ceremony on September 14 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, where she is expected to present an award.
The actress, who previously received a 2023 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her title role as Wednesday Addams, wore a midriff-baring top adorned with large, multicolored jewels that left little room for interpretation. She accessorized the look with a dark red lipstick, Pomellato accessories, a floor-length black skirt, and matching heels.
The award show, which is hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze, will feature presentations from Jenna as well as Angela Bassett, Ike Barinholtz, Tina Fey, Eric Dane, Walton Goggins, and Sofia Vergara.
The 22-year-old Jenna is no stranger to daring red carpet attire; she has frequently adopted her character's eerie style, most notably during the Netflix series' season two press tour this summer. The actress has actually talked about how Wednesday's eerie vibe has gradually become more natural to her, even outside of the fashion industry.
In a May interview with Harper's Bazaar, Jenna stated, "I definitely feel like I have a bit more Gothic taste than I did when I was a teenager." "Dark things have always captivated or interested me, but I was a Disney kid, and the whole thing is being bubbly and kind and overly sweet.”
She did point out, though, that she only partially identifies with the fictional teen.
She continued, "It's like you're wearing the schoolgirl costume." "There's just something really condescending about it. Additionally, people physically despise you when you're short.
