Ne-Yo is embracing a new chapter in his personal life, opening up about his unconventional romance with four women whom he lovingly refers to as his "wives."

The Grammy Award-winning artist, whose real name is Shaffer Chimere Smith, recently spoke on Kai Cenat's Mafiathon 3 stream about living openly in a polyamorous relationship. "My love life is phenomenal," the 45-year-old singer said. "I'm in a great space. I am currently in a polyamorous relationship. I have four beautiful ladies that move with me on the regular."

Ne-Yo introduced his partners earlier this year, giving each a nickname: Cristina ("Pretty Baby"), Arielle Hill ("Twin Flame"), Moneii ("Phoenix Feather"), and Brionna Williams ("Sexy Lil' Somethin'"). He shared their photos on Instagram in March, writing, "LADIES AND GENTS I PRESENT MY PYRAMID. Say something nice or move on with your life. We happy over here."

Though not legally married, Ne-Yo considers each woman his wife. He revealed the group shares an Alaskan King bed, which he described as "like two California Kings next to each other," ensuring there's room for everyone.

The singer explained that honesty is the foundation of their relationship. After his 2022 divorce from Crystal Renay, with whom he shares three children, he committed himself to living truthfully. "I was married before this, to one woman. Things didn't go well. I made my mistakes. We got divorced, a lot of people got hurt in the process, and I told myself at that moment I ain't lying to nobody about nothing ever again."

When speaking to one of his current partners, Ne-Yo recalled saying: "'Listen, you know I rock with you. I absolutely rock with you. But it ain't just you. I also rock with her, and her, and her. So, what I wanna do is bring this whole thing together. If you with it, let's rock. If you're not, that's cool too. No love lost.'"

He also stressed that his girlfriends entered the arrangement willingly. "Everybody's honest. Everybody's telling the truth. Everybody is consenting," he said, clarifying that exclusivity was their choice. "They came to me and said, 'I want to be exclusive to you and just you.' I said, 'You understand that your exclusivity to me, does not mean my exclusivity to you? You're OK with it?'"

Beyond his love life, Ne-Yo is a father of seven, sharing children with former partners Monyetta Shaw-Carter, Crystal Renay, and Sade Jenea Bagnerise. Speaking about his approach with his kids, he added: "I'm not lying to nobody, not even my children. It's like, 'Hey, this is daddy's girlfriend. And so is that, and so is that, and so is that.' And it's all good."
