Miles Teller is thrilled for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce following their engagement. Speaking at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7 during the premiere of his new film Eternity, the actor described the news as "such exciting" and reflected on the importance of finding a lifelong partner. "That's the first step of life-long companionship," he said. When asked if he and wife Keleigh Sperry would join the couple on double dates, he laughed and added, "Yeah, exactly."

Teller and Sperry's friendship with Swift stretches back several years. In 2021, they starred in her I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor's Version) music video, where they played the bride and groom in a wedding scene. The couple has also joined Swift at major events, including the 2024 Super Bowl in Las Vegas, where her suite was filled with friends such as Blake Lively, Ice Spice, Lana Del Rey, Ashley Avignone, and Jason Kelce.

The following year, Teller and Sperry attended the 2025 Super Bowl in New Orleans, though the dynamic was different as Swift was supporting the Chiefs against Teller's beloved Philadelphia Eagles. Teller explained that his wife, originally from California, had become just as committed to Philadelphia sports as he was after their marriage. Their loyalty was rewarded when the Eagles secured a victory over the Chiefs.

Swift and Kelce announced their engagement in late August with a playful Instagram post describing themselves as a teacher couple preparing for marriage. The Chiefs tight end proposed with a cushion-cut diamond ring, crafted by Artifex Fine Jewellery, which was designed to match Swift's taste for timeless and vintage-inspired pieces. Kelce later revealed on his New Heights podcast that the wedding planning process had already begun and promised that the celebration would be spectacular.

For Teller, the news also aligns with his own view of love and marriage. During a post-screening Q&A for Eternity, he emphasized the value of everyday devotion in relationships, explaining that he admired men who lived to make their wives happy and found fulfilment in that simplicity. "I love an ordinary love," he said, describing the theme that drew him to his latest role.
