Country music star Drake White and his wife, Alex, are grieving the loss of their newborn daughter, Della Elizabeth White, who passed away shortly after birth. The heartbreaking news was shared in a joint Instagram post on September 7, where the couple opened up about their unimaginable pain.

"On Sunday, August 31st, our precious daughter, Della Elizabeth White, went peacefully to be with Jesus," the Whites wrote. "We are so thankful for the holy moments God gave us with her. The Lord has been so near and close to us during this difficult time. He has held us up and sustained us through it all. We are heartbroken and soul tired, but we know we will get through this with the strength, peace, and joy only our Heavenly Father can provide."

Della was born at 29 weeks, weighing 3 pounds, 3.5 ounces, and measuring 13.5 inches. She was delivered at 8:52 a.m. but passed away just 20 minutes later at 9:12 a.m. The couple included two Bible verses in their post, including Psalm 34:18: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

The country music community poured out love and support. Jessie James Decker commented, "I am so sorry. I love you and I'm praying for you all. No one should ever go through this kind of pain." Fellow singer Lauren Alaina wrote, "My heart aches for you. Sending so much love and prayer your way," while Chase Rice simply added, "Love you buddy."

Drake and Alex are already parents to a two-and-a-half-year-old son, William Hawk. In May, they joyfully announced they were expecting their second child through IVF, with Alex sharing, "We had our frozen embryo transfer in March and found out we were pregnant 10 days later. We were due in November."

The couple has endured a challenging journey to parenthood. Drake previously suffered a stroke on stage, while Alex has battled type 1 diabetes and an autoimmune disorder. Despite these trials, they continued to lean on their faith.

"May Della be held in the arms of Jesus until we see her again someday," they concluded in their post, as friends, fans, and fellow artists continue to send prayers and condolences.
