Orlando Bloom is finally addressing his breakup with Katy Perry, keeping things positive and full of gratitude.

While promoting his intense new thriller The Cut on NBC's Today show Friday, the 48-year-old actor was asked by host Craig Melvin about the personal changes in his life. "There's been some personal changes in your life since you were here the last time," Melvin said. "How are you doing?"

With a smile, Bloom responded, "I'm great, man. I'm so grateful. We have the most beautiful daughter. You know when you leave everything on the field like I did in this movie? I feel grateful for all of it." He emphasized, "And we're great. We're going to be great. Nothing but love."

Bloom and Perry, 40, share 5-year-old Daisy Dove. The couple ended their six-year engagement earlier this summer, with reps confirming their split on July 3. Sources told PEOPLE that Perry was determined to keep things positive for Daisy's sake. "They've been through a lot together," one insider shared, adding that the pair remain in close touch and are committed to co-parenting.

Bloom's ex-wife, Miranda Kerr, with whom he shares son Flynn, also praised his maturity. Speaking on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, Kerr said Bloom always ends relationships respectfully and with dignity.

Since news of the split broke, Bloom subtly addressed his emotions through social media. Days after the announcement, he shared quotes from Carl Jung exploring themes of loneliness and balance between happiness and sadness.

As Bloom navigates this new chapter, he's also celebrating the release of The Cut, now in theaters. In the film, he plays a former champion boxer driven to extremes as he trains for redemption. Bloom revealed he lost 30 pounds in three months for the role under strict supervision, describing the process as both mentally and physically grueling.

"This is a story about the struggles we all face and what it takes to battle our internal demons and find self-acceptance," he said.
