Penn Badgley and his wife, Domino Kirke, have welcomed two new additions to their family, identical twin boys. The You star, 38, subtly announced the exciting news on Wednesday, September 3, via Instagram while promoting his upcoming live event for his podcast and new book, Crushmore.

In the video, Badgley whispered while holding the camera close to one of his newborns, briefly revealing their tiny feet.
"I'm interrupting my paternity leave, which I'm on by the way," he said softly. "There's tiny little baby feet right there. I don't want to wake them up."

The newborn twins join the couple's 4-year-old son, James, and Kirke's 16-year-old son, Cassius, from her previous relationship with musician Morgan O'Kane. Badgley and Kirke tied the knot in February 2017 after nearly three years of dating.

Back in February, Kirke announced their pregnancy in a sweet Instagram post, sharing a photo of Badgley and James kissing her baby bump. "Babies #3 and #4 coming this summer!" she wrote at the time, expressing her awe over the surprise of spontaneous identical twins.

Speaking with Access Hollywood earlier this year, Badgley reflected on the responsibility of raising four boys.
"They're identical boys, so now we have four boys," he said. "The world needs more good men, so the pressure's on us to raise them well."

The Gossip Girl alum has been open about his parenting journey, balancing life as a biological father and stepfather. On the Modern Love podcast in 2024, he explained the unique dynamic in their blended family, sharing that while Cassius' biological father is actively involved, Badgley has created his own special bond with him.

Kirke has praised Badgley's stepdad role, previously telling Us Weekly that he "takes care of Cassius really well" and manages to keep things fun while being a supportive parental figure.

Badgley also revealed the mixed reactions of their older kids to the twins' arrival.
"Our 4-year-old is stoked, he really wants to be a big brother," he shared. "The 16-year-old is excited for us, but he's also like, 'I'm gonna leave in two years.'"

The couple's latest announcement marks a joyful new chapter as they adjust to life as a family of six, and to the chaos of raising identical twin boys.
