Eight years after the final episode of MTV's hit series Teen Wolf, Dylan O'Brien and Tyler Posey proved that the bond between their iconic characters, and themselves, remains unbreakable. The pair shared a long, heartfelt embrace on Tuesday, September 2, at the Los Angeles premiere of O'Brien's new film Twinless, delighting fans who have been yearning for a reunion.

The emotional moment, captured on video by The Hollywood Reporter and widely shared on X, began as the actors spotted each other on the red carpet. Posey, 33, approached O'Brien, 34, with a wide smile before wrapping him in a lengthy hug. Their reunion quickly turned into an animated conversation filled with laughter, with Posey placing a hand on O'Brien's shoulder and later holding both of his friend's shoulders while the two exchanged warm words.

Fans of Teen Wolf, which aired from 2011 to 2017, were quick to react online. The series chronicled the journey of Scott McCall, played by Posey, and his best friend Stiles Stilinski, portrayed by O'Brien, as they navigated supernatural challenges and high school drama. Their onscreen friendship was the emotional heart of the show, and offscreen, the actors maintained a strong connection, even as life and careers took them in different directions.

Posey revealed in a 2023 interview with the New York Post that O'Brien was unable to attend his wedding to singer Phem, though he was invited along with other co-star Dylan Sprayberry. "No Dylans. They were both busy," Posey explained at the time, adding that many other cast members, including Colton Haynes and Tyler Hoechlin, celebrated with him in Malibu. Despite O'Brien's absence, Posey emphasized that there was "no love lost" between them.

O'Brien also chose not to participate in Teen Wolf: The Movie, released in January 2023, but Posey told E! News that his friend remained deeply supportive from afar, often texting to check on filming progress. "To me, he was always there," Posey shared, praising O'Brien's lasting impact on the series and its legacy.
