Arsenal are expected to intensify their pursuit of Paris Saint Germain winger Bradley Barcola after receiving indications that the France international could be available during the current transfer window.

The Gunners have monitored Barcola's progress for an extended period and are set to continue their assessment by watching him in action during France's FIFA World Cup Round of 32 clash against Sweden on Tuesday night.

While Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers remains one of Arsenal's priority attacking targets, a move for the England international appears increasingly difficult. Reports suggest Villa have placed a £130 million valuation on the 23 year old, a figure that is likely to exceed Arsenal's preferred spending limits.

As a result, Arsenal are exploring alternative options, with Barcola emerging as one of the club's leading candidates. The 23 year old is highly regarded by the Gunners' recruitment team, who believe his pace, creativity and versatility would strengthen Mikel Arteta's attacking options.

Developments at Paris Saint Germain could also influence Barcola's future. The French champions are continuing negotiations to sign RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande, and his arrival could increase competition for places in the squad, potentially opening the door for Barcola to consider a move elsewhere.

Barcola remains under contract with PSG until the summer of 2028, but any potential transfer is still expected to cost considerably less than Rogers because of the significantly lower asking price anticipated by the French club.

Should PSG decide they are willing to negotiate, Arsenal are expected to be among the frontrunners for his signature. Liverpool are also believed to be monitoring the winger's situation as they assess possible additions to their attack before the transfer window closes.

Away from their search for attacking reinforcements, Arsenal are also exploring options in the goalkeeping department.

The future of current backup goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga remains uncertain ahead of next season, prompting the club to identify possible replacements.

Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier has emerged as a strong candidate. The 26 year old has fallen behind in the pecking order at Elland Road and is available on a free transfer after his contract expired this summer.

With work continuing across multiple positions, Arsenal remain active in the transfer market as they seek to strengthen their squad before the start of the new campaign, balancing high profile targets with more financially realistic alternatives.
