FC Barcelona Femení secured their place in the UEFA Women's Champions League Final after defeating Bayern Munich Women 4-2 in the second leg of their semi final at the Nou Camp, sealing a 5-3 aggregate victory.

Following a 1-1 draw in the first leg, Barcelona delivered a strong performance in front of more than 60,000 fans. The result means they will face Olympique Lyonnais Féminin in the final for the fourth time in seven years, underlining a growing rivalry at the top of European women's football.

The match began at a high tempo, with three goals scored in a rapid nine minute spell during the first half. Salma Paralluelo opened the scoring after meeting a cross from Caroline Graham Hansen at the back post. Bayern responded quickly when Pernille Harder led a counter attack and set up Linda Dallmann for a composed finish.

Barcelona regained the lead soon after through captain Alexia Putellas, who capitalised on a defensive error inside the penalty area. The home side carried that momentum into the second half and extended their advantage when Ewa Pajor converted a cross from Paralluelo.

Putellas then added her second goal in spectacular fashion, finishing acrobatically following a headed assist from Esmee Brugts during a set piece. Bayern attempted a comeback, with Harder taking advantage of defensive lapses to pull one back and keep the contest alive.

The German side pushed forward in search of more goals, coming close through Dallmann and substitute Arianna Caruso, but both efforts struck the woodwork. Harder thought she had scored again in stoppage time, only for the goal to be ruled out due to a foul earlier in the move.

There was also a significant moment for Barcelona as Aitana Bonmatí returned from injury, making her first appearance since November. She expressed her joy at being back and helping the team reach another final, calling it one of the most special moments of her career.

Barcelona now move one step closer to another European title as they prepare to meet Lyon once again on the biggest stage.
