Tesla is asking shareholders to approve an unprecedented $975 billion compensation plan for CEO Elon Musk↳, a move that could dramatically increase his voting power and stake in the company. The proposal, disclosed Friday in a regulatory filing, would grant Musk 423 million additional shares if Tesla achieves a series of ambitious market and operational milestones over the next decade.

Anthropic, the Amazon-backed AI startup known for its Claude chatbot, is now prohibiting Chinese-run entities from using its artificial intelligence services, citing a tightening of restrictions on "authoritarian regions." Companies based in China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran were already restricted from accessing Anthropic's commercial services due to legal and security concerns.

In a major antitrust case, a US judge on Tuesday rejected the government’s demand that Google divest its Chrome web browser but imposed sweeping requirements designed to reinstate competition in online search. The ruling builds on Judge Amit Mehta’s August 2024 finding that Google unlawfully maintained monopolies through exclusive distribution agreements generating billions in annual revenue.
