Amnesty International on 9th February addressed Lebanon's drug shortages and healthcare crisis. More than a year after the Lebanese government removed subsidies on most medications, short-sighted policies and a lack of adequate social safety nets have left people unable to access or afford vital and life-saving medication.. The government has also failed to fulfill its commitments to support Primary Health Care Centres (PHCCs), which provide free and low-cost medication and have been facing high demand.

Tragedy struck Iraq's online community on Friday night as Ghufran Sawadi, a social media personality known as Umm Fahad, was shot dead outside her Baghdad residence. Recent storms lashed the United Arab Emirates and Oman, dumping 25 centimeters (approximately 9.84 inches) of rain. In Oman, the deluge claimed at least 20 lives, while one fatality was reported in the UAE. The storm initially struck Oman on Sunday before
unleashing its force on the UAE by Tuesday, triggering power outages and flooding runways, causing significant flight disruptions.
