U.S. President Donald Trump recently shared a graphic video of a fatal attack in Florida, using it to criticise the immigration policies of former President Joe Biden.

The incident took place in Fort Myers, where a 40-year-old man identified as Rolbert Jaochin was arrested in connection with the killing of a 51-year-old woman outside a gas station. Authorities said the suspect was taken into custody the same day after officers recognised him from prior encounters.

He has since been charged with homicide, criminal mischief and property damage, and is reportedly being held without bond after allegedly confessing.

According to officials, the attack was captured on surveillance footage and had already circulated online before Trump reshared it on his Truth Social platform. In his post, the president described the suspect as an "animal" and called the clip "one of the most vicious things you will ever see."

While acknowledging its disturbing nature, Trump said he believed he "had an obligation to put it up so that people can see what Democrats are protecting."
"To my fellow Republicans, and frankly all Common Sense Americans, NEVER FORGET that Joe Biden and the Democrat Party turned the United States of America into a dumping ground," Trump wrote.

He added, "Please say a prayer for this innocent woman's family. We will ensure quick and severe JUSTICE is served in this case!"

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security stated that the suspect entered the country in 2022 and had been granted Temporary Protected Status during the Biden administration. Following his arrest, Immigration and Customs Enforcement placed a detainer on him, meaning he could face deportation regardless of the outcome of the case.

Trump also criticised the programme, calling it a "massively abused and fraudulent program" and linking it to broader concerns about border control. His comments are consistent with his administration's push to tighten immigration policies and expand deportations.

Authorities have not yet publicly identified the victim or disclosed a motive, and investigations into the case remain ongoing.
