Mia Goth has officially filed for divorce from Shia LaBeouf, more than a year after the couple reportedly separated.

The actress filed the divorce documents on Oct. 6, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. Goth listed July 28, 2025, as their date of separation, according to court documents.

Goth, 32, is seeking primary legal and physical custody of the couple's 4-year-old daughter, Isabel. She has also requested that neither she nor LaBeouf be awarded spousal support.

The filing comes after reports in February that the pair had quietly ended their relationship months earlier. LaBeouf, 40, subsequently spoke about the breakdown of their marriage, acknowledging his own role in the separation.

"My side is, you know, I failed my marriage, and so I had to own up to that," he said in February.

LaBeouf also spoke positively about Goth and their efforts to navigate their new relationship as co-parents. "That's a good girl," he said. "That's one of the best girls that ever lived. She's incredible, that woman. Incredible ... all the time. 10 out of 10."

Goth and LaBeouf first met while working on Lars von Trier's Nymphomaniac in 2012 and went on to have an on-and-off relationship. They appeared to marry in Las Vegas in 2016, although officials initially said the ceremony was not legally recognized. A representative for LaBeouf later confirmed that the couple had filed for divorce in 2018.

They eventually reconciled and were seen together again in 2020 before welcoming Isabel in 2022.

Goth has not publicly addressed the divorce filing, but she has previously spoken warmly about motherhood. In a 2025 interview with Elle, she described having a child as "a really psychedelic experience" and said, "she's the greatest gift of my life."

The actress has also said motherhood influences the projects she chooses, explaining that she needs to feel her work is meaningful enough to justify time away from her daughter.
