Kelly Osbourne has opened up about her long-running estrangement from older sister Aimee Osbourne, saying she has accepted that the two may never have a relationship again.
Speaking to Paul C. Brunson on the We Need to Talk podcast on Sept. 15, the 41-year-old described the sisters as complete opposites and revealed that their difficult relationship dates back to their childhood.
"If I'm honest, my older sister didn't really ever acknowledge me and my brother," Kelly said, referring to herself and younger brother Jack Osbourne. "She was just in her own world doing her own thing."
Kelly also admitted that she has sometimes felt Aimee was "embarrassed" by their family, although she acknowledged that she could not speak for her sister's feelings.
"I do, to a certain extent, if I'm honest, feel as though she was embarrassed of us. The whole family," she said.
Aimee, 43, has long maintained a much more private life than her siblings. She famously refused to participate in the MTV reality series The Osbournes, which followed Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, Kelly and Jack from 2002 to 2005.
Kelly said the difference between them has always been difficult to bridge. "We're very different. Everything I am, she's not. Everything she is, I'm not," she said. "It's like you couldn't be more polar opposite. We're like oil and water."
The estrangement has also left Kelly with a lasting sense of loss. She said one of the hardest things for her has been feeling that she never experienced the older-sister relationship she wanted.
"I never got a big sister," Kelly said, adding that she had to figure out certain things on her own that she felt an older sibling might normally have helped her with. "I do have a resentment there. I'll have that forever," she added.
When Brunson asked whether there was any possibility of the sisters eventually reconciling, Kelly gave a blunt response: "No. I respect her, I accept her, but we're different, and that's okay," she explained.
Kelly went on to say that she does not want people in her life who refuse to accept her as she is.
Despite their differences, the siblings were publicly reunited following the death of their father, Ozzy Osbourne, in July 2025.
