Adam Scott is giving fans a glimpse into Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding, revealing that the celebration felt much more intimate than he expected.
The Severance actor attended the couple's July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York City with his wife, Naomi Scott. Speaking to Craig Melvin on TODAY on Aug. 24, Scott said the scale of the event was impressive, but the atmosphere still felt remarkably personal.
"It was kind of on a grand scale," Scott said. "There were more people than were at my wedding, but at its core, it just felt like a regular wedding with two people coming together."
The actor, 53, said the genuine emotions of the occasion were particularly memorable.
"Everyone was teared up. It was a really lovely, lovely event," he said.
Scott went on to describe the wedding as "incredible" and "really terrific," adding that the strongest impression he and his wife took away was that it felt like a genuine celebration of two people in love.
"You had the sense that these are just people who love each other," he said.
When Melvin asked whether he could share details with viewers, the actor simply replied, "I can't."
His daughter, 17-year-old Francesca "Frankie" Scott, was reportedly particularly interested in the invitation. The teenager is a major Swift fan, and Scott admitted that attending the wedding earned him some points with her, although he also lost some for not bringing her along.
"Sure did, except I didn't bring her, so I lost some points at the same time," he joked.
Scott said Frankie stayed awake until he and Naomi returned home so she could hear about the wedding.
The actor later shared a photo from around the wedding weekend featuring himself and Naomi alongside Paul Rudd and his wife, Julie Yaeger. The post was simply captioned, "❤️T&T❤️."
