Savannah Guthrie has released a heartbreaking new video plea nearly six months after her mother, Nancy Guthrie, was abducted from her Tucson, Arizona home.
Savannah posted the message to Instagram on July 27, directly addressing the kidnappers. "It has been months since our mom was taken from us. Our family is in agony. We are in a nightmare that will not end. Nothing about our situation has changed," she said.
Joined in the search by her siblings Annie and Camron Guthrie, Savannah emphasized their determination: "We have done our part and we will never stop looking for her. We will always ache for her and feel that hole in our hearts."
Turning her words toward those responsible, she pleaded: "The world can be a cruel and unforgiving place, and I know that you have tried to do things the right way. So I'm asking you, begging you to do the right thing now. Make the right choice. Help us find her, tell us where to look for her. I truly believe it is never too late to do the right thing."
Savannah concluded with one final appeal: "No matter where we've been or what we've done, I believe there is always a way home. Please make the right choice."
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was abducted on February 1. Doorbell footage released by the FBI showed a masked intruder entering her home, but no suspects have been identified. Investigators have also confirmed several ransom notes demanding millions in bitcoin, with threats that Nancy would be killed if deadlines were not met.
Despite the threats, Nancy has not been found, and the case remains unsolved. The FBI and Pima County Sheriff's Department continue to investigate, with rewards for information raised to $1 million earlier this year.
Savannah, currently on hiatus from Today while filming NBC's upcoming Wordle game show, has vowed to keep speaking out until her mother is found.
