Taylor Swift has picked up her first Emmy nomination in a decade, recognized for Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour – The Final Show.
The Disney+ concert film, recorded during the final stop of her record-breaking tour in Vancouver, landed multiple nods including Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded), where Swift is credited as both performer and producer.
The project also received nominations for directing, sound mixing, picture editing, and technical direction. Director Glen Weiss was singled out for his work behind the camera.
This marks Swift's second career Emmy nomination. She previously won in 2015 for AMEX Unstaged: Taylor Swift Experience, an interactive app tied to her "Blank Space" video. At the time, she joked online: "WHEN THEY OVERNIGHT YOU AN EMMY... I DID NOT KNOW THIS WAS A THING."
The Eras Tour itself has been hailed as a cultural phenomenon, grossing more than $2 billion across five continents. In her End of an Era documentary, Swift reflected on the project's impact: "There's times, these very rare instances, where you make something and the wind is at your back... Somehow culture and timing all line up for this to go well."
Her latest recognition comes just days after her wedding to NFL star Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden, adding another milestone to a whirlwind July.
The 78th Primetime Emmy Awards will take place September 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, hosted by Mariska Hargitay. Swift's nomination places her alongside productions featuring Dave Chappelle, Nikki Glaser, The Muppet Show, and Wicked: One Wonderful Night.
