Hilary Duff has quietly responded after a fan defended her from criticism over the outfits she has been wearing on her Lucky Me Tour.

The singer and actress appeared to acknowledge the support by liking an Instagram post that pushed back against a comment claiming "obviously didn't spend any money on her wardrobe. Wearing sweatpants?"

The fan shared a video compilation showing several of Duff's costume changes during one of her concerts, writing: "Actually she's a baddie that did 5 quick outfit changes during her performance."

The montage highlighted multiple looks from the show, including a slip dress layered over jeans, a fringe crop top, a satin white dress and a sequined halter top, showing that Duff switched outfits several times throughout the performance.

The post also praised the 38-year-old performer, adding: "The queen herself looked stunning in each outfit. You're a baddie and I strive to look as good as you after 4 kids!"

Rather than responding directly to the criticism, Duff simply liked the post, which fans took as her reaction.

Duff kicked off her Lucky Me Tour in late June in support of her sixth studio album, Luck... or Something, her first full-length album in more than a decade. The tour features songs from the new record alongside fan favourites including "So Yesterday," "Come Clean" and "Wake Up," with dates scheduled across the United States and internationally through February 2027.

Before launching the arena tour, Duff performed a series of intimate shows during her Small Rooms, Big Nerves tour, which she previously said helped rebuild her confidence before returning to larger venues.

Speaking earlier this year, Duff reflected on returning to music after years away, saying the album's title reflected both good fortune and the experiences that shaped her career.

The tour comes just weeks after another major career milestone, when Duff appeared on the cover of the 2026 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. Speaking about the experience, the mother of four said she was proud of setting her own boundaries during the shoot, explaining, "I am so proud of my body."
