Katy Perry is sharing new details about her relationship with Justin Trudeau, revealing how the romance has brought a sense of stability and balance to her life.
The couple made their red carpet debut on June 8 at the Tribeca Festival premiere of Perry's concert film, Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris. During a conversation with journalist Tomás Mier, the singer reflected on how both the tour and her relationship with the former Canadian prime minister have influenced her personal growth.
Perry, 41, said she feels more grounded than ever and credited her relationship with Trudeau, 54, for helping her find that sense of security. She explained that the concert featured in the film took place after she met what she described as the love of her life, adding that the relationship gave her a stronger sense of balance.
Using a colorful metaphor, Perry compared herself to a rainbow kite that often soars high and moves freely. She said that having someone who serves as an anchor has helped her feel more complete and centered.
The singer also discussed her new concert film, explaining how it differs from her 2012 documentary, Part of Me. While the earlier project focused heavily on her personal life, Perry described the latest release as a large-scale concert experience created specifically for fans.
She said the film is a celebration of the supporters who have stood by her throughout her nearly two-decade career. According to Perry, the project serves as a way to capture and preserve the excitement of her live performances while thanking the audience that has supported her journey.
Before appearing together at Tribeca, Perry and Trudeau were seen at the Beef Season 2 Montecito Tastemaker event in April. The pair posed alongside Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos and producer Nicole Avant during the gathering, which also attracted several high-profile guests.
Romance rumors first surfaced in July 2025 when Perry and Trudeau were spotted walking together in Montreal with a small dog. The two were later seen dining at the restaurant Le Violon. Trudeau also attended Perry's Montreal concert later that month.
Their relationship became a major topic of public interest shortly after reports confirmed that Perry and actor Orlando Bloom had ended their engagement following nine years together.
In October 2025, Perry and Trudeau made their first public appearance as a couple when they attended a birthday celebration hosted by Crazy Horse Paris, further fueling interest in their relationship.
