Jennifer Lopez is embracing single life and says she has no interest in rushing into another relationship after her divorce from Ben Affleck.
The 56-year-old actress and singer opened up about her personal life during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on May 27 while promoting her upcoming Netflix film, Office Romance.
When host Jimmy Kimmel pointed out that she was currently single, Lopez jokingly replied, "I am. I should have done it sooner! I've been doing it all wrong. Trust me."
Kimmel later suggested she join reality dating show The Bachelorette, but Lopez immediately shut the idea down. "No. Are you crazy?" she said. "I'm not doing anything to ruin how I feel right now. It's fantastic. I love it."
Although Kimmel argued that it might be difficult for someone as famous as Lopez to meet people, the singer insisted she was content with where she is in life. "I'll meet somebody somewhere one day, if they're good enough," she said, before adding, "I'm good right now. I'm happy."
Lopez finalized her divorce from Affleck in January 2025 after filing in August 2024, ending their second chance romance nearly two decades after their first engagement in the early 2000s. The pair reunited in 2021, got engaged again in 2022 and later married in Las Vegas before holding a second ceremony in Georgia.
Earlier this year, Lopez also reflected on taking time away from work following the breakup. Speaking on Good Morning America, she explained that she "took a year off" and canceled tours so she could focus on herself instead of distracting herself with work or another relationship.
"I was just at a point where I was like, 'What is going on with you?'" Lopez said. "I couldn't blame anybody else because I don't think that's where the lesson is."
The singer admitted she had spent most of her adult life in relationships and was only now learning what it felt like to truly be on her own.
