Prince William has hinted that he may be hoping for an invitation to the upcoming wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce after making a playful comment during a radio interview.
The Prince of Wales appeared on the U.K. radio show Heart Breakfast on May 22, where hosts Amanda Holden and Jamie Theakston brought up the couple's reported wedding plans.
When asked whether he had received an invite, William laughed before replying, "No comment. I'm hoping and I'm sure there might be an invitation around but we'll see."
The moment came as William spoke about his children's love for Swift's music. He revealed that Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are both fans, though Charlotte is especially obsessed with the pop star.
"Charlotte, my daughter, and Louis, to be fair, Charlotte particularly, is obsessed by Taylor Swift," he said. "We went to see her on her Eras Tour and it was amazing."
William attended Swift's Eras Tour concert at Wembley Stadium in London in June 2024 with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. The royal family later met Swift and Kelce backstage, where they took selfies together after the show.
Looking back on the concert, William said the atmosphere inside the stadium was unforgettable. "We were watching from up there, which is quite a long way from where the actual action is happening, but the atmosphere was so incredible," he explained.
"You could actually feel the floors shaking when they were all dancing. It was brilliant."
Swift later shared one of the backstage selfies online with the caption, "Happy Bday M8. London shows are off to a splendid start."
Although Swift and Kelce announced their engagement last year, the couple have kept details about their wedding mostly private. Reports suggest they are planning a more intimate ceremony away from the spotlight despite the massive attention surrounding their relationship.
For now, William has not confirmed whether he will actually attend the wedding, but his comments made it clear he would not mind being on the guest list.
