The former Yankees slugger and the fitness entrepreneur quietly parted ways about two months ago, with Cordeiro confirming the split herself and asking for privacy amid a family health matter.
Alex Rodriguez, 50, and Jaclyn Cordeiro, 46, have split after more than three years together, the pair confirmed Thursday, and by all accounts, the breakup is about as amicable as they come. A source close to the former couple told PEOPLE the two remain "good friends" and are "all good" despite going their separate ways roughly two months ago.
Cordeiro, the founder of fitness brand JACFIT, spoke directly to TMZ to set the record straight on the circumstances of the split. "To clarify, Alex and I are currently taking some time apart but there continues to be mutual love, care, and deep respect between us and for our families," she said. "We remain supportive of one another, and there is absolutely no animosity, drama, or negative story here."
Cordeiro also shared that she is currently focused on a family member dealing with a serious health matter. "Out of respect for everyone involved, especially our daughters and loved ones, I'd kindly ask that any reporting reflects the compassion and privacy this situation deserves," she added.
The two were first spotted together in October 2022, photographed walking down Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. They made things Instagram official that December with a warmly captioned holiday family photo alongside Rodriguez's daughters Natasha, 21, and Ella, 18, whom he shares with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis. The couple became a regular fixture at courtside seats for Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx games, where Rodriguez is a co-owner, and attended Super Bowl LVII together in 2023.
Their connection extended well beyond the romance. Rodriguez credited Cordeiro's fitness program with helping him shed 32 pounds, and praised her for bringing a sense of unity to his co-parenting dynamic with Scurtis. Prior to Cordeiro, Rodriguez dated model Kathryne Padgett and was previously engaged to Jennifer Lopez.
