Alex Cooper is going to be a mother. The Call Her Daddy podcast host, 31, revealed Sunday that she is expecting her first child with husband Matt Kaplan, 42, sharing the news through a heartfelt Instagram post that sent fans into a frenzy.
In the photographs, Cooper cradled her visible baby bump while sitting on Kaplan's lap as he gazed lovingly at both her and her growing belly. "Our family 🤍," she wrote simply in the caption.
Supporters flooded the comments almost immediately. "Daddy gang — Mommy gang. Congratulations Alex and Matt!" wrote one delighted fan, capturing the mood of thousands who responded with an outpouring of warmth and excitement.
Sources close to the couple moved swiftly to put to rest recent speculation about the state of their marriage. "Rumors of tension are false, and they're so excited about this new chapter," an insider told PEOPLE. "They've tried to hold out as long as they could before announcing."
The pregnancy news arrives weeks after a Daily Mail report claimed the pair were sleeping in separate bedrooms, with an anonymous source suggesting the dynamic of their relationship had shifted since they moved in together. Cooper and Kaplan have not publicly addressed those claims, though they did present a united front at the 2026 YouTube Upfront just last week.
Kaplan has also been navigating his own turbulence. Last month, a Bloomberg report accused the Ace Entertainment CEO of berating and threatening staff at Unwell Network, the production company he runs with Cooper. The couple has stayed silent on those allegations as well.
Cooper and Kaplan first connected on a Zoom call in July 2020, during which she famously dubbed him "Mr. Sexy Zoom Man" on her podcast to protect his identity.
They got engaged in 2023 and married on April 6, 2024, in an intimate destination ceremony in Riviera Maya, Mexico. Cooper walked the aisle in a custom Danielle Frankel gown she described as her dream dress. This will be the first child for both.
