Sharon Stone's brother Mike Stone has died. He was 74.

The Hollywood legend broke the devastating news to fans via Instagram on Wednesday, confirming that her oldest sibling had passed following a prolonged illness.

"Mike Stone, My oldest brother, Has passed away. Following an extended illness. We wish him peace. Sharon, Roan, Laird & Quinn," she wrote, accompanying the post with a personal photograph of her late brother.

Supporters immediately rushed to the comments to express their sympathy and love for the grieving actress.

Though Mike largely kept a low profile away from the entertainment world, he did share his sister's passion for acting. He made his screen debut in the 1990 production "End of the Night" and later appeared beside Sharon in the 1995 Western "The Quick and the Dead." Despite never walking down the aisle, he was once engaged to British socialite Tamara Beckwith, though the pair called things off in 1995 after roughly a year together.

Mike's passing marks yet another devastating blow for Sharon, 68, who has endured a painful series of losses in recent years.

In 2023, she lost her younger brother Patrick Stone, who was just 57 when he suffered a fatal cardiac event caused by heart disease. Sharon announced his death through a heartfelt Instagram video, thanking fans for their kindness during what she described as a period of immeasurable grief.

Before that, Patrick and his wife Tasha had already suffered the unimaginable loss of their infant son River, who died of organ failure in August 2021 at just 11 months old.

Sharon's mother Dorothy also passed last summer at 91. The actress marked her death with a candid and affectionate Instagram tribute.

Sharon is one of four siblings, alongside Mike, Patrick, and her youngest sister Kelly. The family grew up together in Pennsylvania, a bond she detailed warmly in her 2021 memoir "The Beauty of Living Twice."
