Alix Earle wasn't about to let drama ruin her big moment.

The 25-year-old influencer appeared on the Today show May 12 to celebrate landing a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover. Host Craig Melvin, though, couldn't resist asking about her rumored feud with Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper.

"There's been this back and forth between you and another internet personality, a podcaster as well... what's really going on?" Melvin asked.

Earle smiled and kept it light. "You know, well, I'm trying to keep things pretty positive today. We don't actually have that much time here, honestly, and also, it's like, why ruin such a good day with something not so great. Let's keep the positive vibes going."

Melvin pressed again, wondering if the tension was real or exaggerated. Earle replied, "No, it's exaggerated. I love everyone." He laughed, saying he wasn't "buying it," before moving on.

The exchange was the first time Earle addressed the feud publicly since April. The drama dates back to February 2025, when Cooper's Unwell Network dropped Earle's Hot Mess podcast.

Cooper later posted on TikTok: "Alix not being able to podcast has nothing to do with Unwell. Idk why she can't/what's going on. Unwell gave her everything back she owns her IP."

Earle called the split "a little bit of a hot mess" in a Wall Street Journal interview, and even joked in a TikTok comment, "How much time do you have?" when asked about Cooper.

Things flared again in April 2026 when Earle reposted a video slamming Cooper. Cooper fired back in her own TikTok: "Hey girl, the passive-aggressive reposts and the likes and the commenting on things — I've got to call you out here.

You're going to need to get specific and just say what you've got to say about me. There's no NDA. No one is stopping you. Stop hiding behind other people and just say it yourself."

Earle cheekily replied, "Okay on it!!" and later shared a clip of herself laughing while watching Cooper's video with friends. "Wait, that just literally made my whole day," she said.
