Cameron Diaz is fully embracing motherhood as she adjusts her life around her growing family with husband Benji Madden.
A source close to the couple tells PEOPLE that Diaz, who recently announced the birth of their third child, a son named Nautas, has completely reshaped her priorities in recent years. According to the insider, her focus has steadily shifted away from her Hollywood career and toward raising her children.
"For years, Cameron was completely focused on work, but she always knew she wanted a family," the source explains. "When she met Benji, everything shifted. That is when her priorities really became clear."
The insider adds that motherhood has brought Diaz a level of joy she did not expect. "Being a mom has been so much more than she could ever imagine. It has brought her a new kind of happiness. She loves being a mom. Nothing makes her happier than her kids."
Diaz and Madden are parents to three children, including their eldest daughter Raddix Madden, age 6, their son Cardinal, age 2, and newborn Nautas. The source says both parents are deeply involved in day-to-day parenting and work together as a team.
"They are both very hands-on," the insider shares. "Now, if she works, it is completely on her terms. Every professional move and project is carefully structured around her family life. Being a mom is what matters most to her. Everything else comes after that."
The couple announced the arrival of baby Nautas on May 4, with Madden sharing the news on social media. He posted an illustration of a pirate ship with the name "Nautas Madden" written underneath, confirming the birth of their son.
"Cameron and I are happy, excited, and feeling so blessed to announce the birth of our third child, Nautas Madden. Welcome to the world, son," he wrote.
In the same post, Madden also shared additional drawings, including a cardinal and a potted plant, symbolizing different members of their family. He ended the message by expressing gratitude for their life together and the health of their children.
"We love life with our family. Our kids are healthy and happy, and we are grateful," he added. "Having a blast. Sending all our best wishes from the Madden family."
