Natasha Lyonne appeared unfazed as she addressed her recent midair controversy, brushing it off with her signature wit and a dose of self-awareness.
"Oh, that whole situation? My accidental performance piece?" the actress quipped Wednesday night while attending the Planned Parenthood of Greater New York Spring Into Action Gala.
Moments later, she softened her tone, admitting the experience had been "quite the ride," while adding she felt lucky to still be moving forward. "I look down, I see my feet, so I guess I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be," she said.
The incident in question unfolded last week after the actress attended the premiere of "Euphoria" Season 3. During a red-eye flight from Los Angeles to New York, Lyonne reportedly appeared disoriented and did not respond to crew instructions, leading to her removal from the plane.
She later explained that she had taken a sleeping aid before takeoff, hoping to arrive rested ahead of a scheduled appearance. Instead, the plan unraveled, turning into a widely discussed headline.
Still, Lyonne has leaned into the moment rather than retreating from it. While honoring Pink at the gala, she joked about not being one to follow instructions too closely before adding with a grin, "I've made three flights since—so we're good."
The crowd responded with cheers, clearly in on the joke.
In the aftermath, Lyonne issued a public apology to fellow travelers who may have been inconvenienced, while also expressing appreciation for the support she received online. She maintained that the situation was an unfortunate mix of exhaustion and medication rather than anything more serious.
Despite the hiccup, the actress has continued to make appearances across New York and Los Angeles, smiling on red carpets and keeping a busy schedule.
Reflecting more broadly, Lyonne noted that life lately has felt unpredictable. "We're all navigating strange times," she said. "Everyone's just trying to do their best with what they've got."
