Leonid Radvinsky, a Ukrainian-American entrepreneur who built a multibillion-dollar fortune as the owner of subscription platform OnlyFans, has died at 43 following a prolonged battle with cancer, according to a company statement released Monday.
Radvinsky passed away "peacefully after a long illness," a spokesperson said, adding that his family has requested privacy during the mourning period.
He acquired Fenix International Limited, the parent company of OnlyFans, in 2018, taking control of a relatively niche creator subscription service and steering it into a global digital business.
The platform, originally founded in 2016 by British entrepreneur Tim Stokely, expanded rapidly under Radvinsky's ownership, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, when lockdowns accelerated demand for online content and alternative income streams.
That surge helped transform OnlyFans into a dominant force in the adult-content economy, with billions of dollars flowing through the platform annually from user subscriptions and tips.
Financial filings and reports indicated the company generated approximately $1.4 billion in revenue in 2024, while users spent more than $7 billion across the service.
Radvinsky, known for maintaining a low public profile, rarely gave interviews despite his growing wealth and influence in the tech and creator economy sectors.
Before acquiring OnlyFans, he founded a venture capital firm in 2009 focused on technology investments, further expanding his footprint in digital businesses.
His early career drew scrutiny over controversial web ventures, though reports found limited evidence supporting some of the more serious allegations tied to those sites.
At the time of his death, Radvinsky's net worth was estimated in the billions, placing him among the wealthiest entrepreneurs in the United States.
