Gwyneth Paltrow is no stranger to making fashion sacrifices. The 53-year-old actress revealed in a behind-the-scenes Goop YouTube video that her strapless Giorgio Armani Privé gown for the 2026 Oscars was so tight she was literally "sewn into" it.

During a FaceTime call with her daughter Apple, 21, while getting ready, Paltrow explained, "I'm getting, like, sewn into my dress kind of thing, so I can't—I won't be able to pee for the whole time I'm there."

The white column gown appeared simple from the front but featured daring side slits, revealing sheer panels and tulle pants underneath as Paltrow turned on the red carpet. The ensemble made for a striking statement during the Academy Awards, where she presented the Oscar for Best Casting.

Marty Supreme, Paltrow's return to acting, starred Timothée Chalamet and earned nine nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor. Paltrow plays Kay Stone, a married actress who becomes romantically involved with Chalamet's character.

Reflecting on her experience filming intimate scenes for Marty Supreme, Paltrow admitted that it initially felt unusual due to the age difference between her and co-star Timothée Chalamet. Despite her initial apprehension, she said the scenes ended up being manageable and comfortable, even though it had been a long time since she had filmed anything similar.

The look was completed with Goop skincare, hair styled by Owen Gould, and Tiffany & Co. diamond jewelry, delivered straight to her hotel room. Paltrow also made sure her team was well-fed with bento boxes, insisting the leftovers be taken home.

When Apple asked which film nominee was her favorite, she quickly replied, "Obviously Marty Supreme."
