Taylor Swift has officially hit a new financial peak. According to the Forbes 2026 World’s Billionaires list released on March 12, 2026, the 36-year-old singer is now worth $2 billion. This milestone makes her the wealthiest female musician in history. She is also the second-richest female celebrity in the world, trailing only media mogul Oprah Winfrey, who has a net worth of $3.2 billion.

Swift’s net worth grew by $400 million since late 2024. This growth allowed her to pass other major stars like Kim Kardashian and Rihanna on the list. While many other celebrity billionaires make their money from makeup brands or clothing lines, Swift is an exception. Her wealth comes almost entirely from her songs, her sold-out tours, and the high value of her music rights.

A massive part of this success is linked to the Eras Tour. The tour became the highest-grossing concert series of all time, earning over $1 billion when combined with sales from merchandise and the popular concert film. This income is supported by her music catalog, which is now valued at approximately $900 million. A major boost occurred in early 2025 when she reportedly bought back the rights to her first six albums for $360 million, allowing her to keep all future earnings from those songs.

Her 2025 studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, provided the final push to reach the $2 billion mark. Released in October, the album sold over four million copies in its first week, making it the biggest debut in music history. On top of her music earnings, Swift owns a real estate portfolio worth about $100 million, with luxury homes in New York, Rhode Island, and Los Angeles.

Swift now ranks No. 2,052 on the global list of the world’s richest people. This news comes as she prepares to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame this June in New York City. Experts say her $2 billion net worth is a clear sign of her power in the industry, proving that an artist can build a massive empire by staying in control of their own work and focusing on their fans.
