Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have reached a custody agreement for their young son, Cruz, marking a significant step forward in their ongoing divorce.

According to court documents filed March 10, the former couple will share joint legal custody of their child and both remain responsible for making decisions about his health, education and overall welfare. However, Cartwright will have the final say in medical decisions if the pair cannot reach an agreement.

The agreement outlines a specific parenting schedule, with Taylor having custody of Cruz every other weekend as well as on Wednesday nights. Cartwright will care for their son the rest of the time. The arrangement also includes plans for shared holidays and family celebrations, including celebrating Cruz's birthdays together.

Under the terms of the deal, neither Taylor nor Cartwright will pay child support. Instead, each parent will cover expenses related to Cruz while he is in their care.

The custody agreement also includes strict behavioral guidelines while parenting. Both Taylor and Cartwright agreed that neither of them will be under the influence of alcohol, marijuana or any illegal drugs while caring for their son.

Another provision addresses their future relationships. The agreement states that neither parent may introduce Cruz to a new romantic partner until they have been dating that person for at least six months.

Taylor, 46, and Cartwright, 37, first met in 2015 and later married in Kentucky in June 2019. They welcomed their son Cruz in April 2021. The pair rose to fame on the Bravo reality series Vanderpump Rules before later appearing on the spinoff show The Valley.

Their relationship struggles were featured on the series, particularly as their marriage began to deteriorate. Cartwright ultimately filed for divorce in August 2024 after the couple separated earlier that year.
