Sarah Jane Ramos is setting the record straight about the end of her engagement to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.

The wine specialist addressed speculation online shortly after news broke that she and the NFL star had called off their wedding just weeks before they were expected to marry in Italy. The couple's decision quickly sparked rumors on social media, including claims that disagreements over a prenuptial agreement led to the breakup.

Ramos responded directly in the comments section of an Instagram video posted by "Speakeasy" hosts Emmanuel Acho and LeSean McCoy, who were discussing the rumored prenup dispute.

"This had nothing to do with a prenup," Ramos wrote. "I hope we can put that rumor to rest now."

The comment came after online speculation suggested Prescott had been pushing for a strict prenuptial agreement ahead of their planned Lake Como wedding and that Ramos had refused to sign it. Some social media users even claimed the disagreement was tied to Prescott's lucrative NFL contract.

However, Ramos' response made it clear that finances were not the reason behind their breakup.

Reports of the split first surfaced over the weekend, revealing that the couple had ended their engagement roughly a month before their wedding date. According to a representative for Ramos, the separation was mutual and not the result of a major argument.

"They're both heartbroken that they're not getting married," the representative said, adding that there was no significant conflict leading up to the decision.

The former couple share two daughters together,  Margaret Jane "MJ" Rose, 2, and Aurora Rayne, about 10 months, and remain focused on co-parenting.

"They love their girls and are committed to raising them in the most positive and supportive environment possible," the representative explained.

Prescott and Ramos first went public with their relationship in September 2023. The Dallas Cowboys star proposed the following year in October 2024.

In a reported email sent to guests ahead of the ceremony, the pair acknowledged the difficult choice to cancel their wedding and apologized for any inconvenience caused by the sudden change in plans.

Despite the breakup, both are said to be prioritizing their family as they navigate the emotional aftermath of the split.
