Global superstar and entrepreneur Rihanna (Robyn Rihanna Fenty) has reportedly moved her family out of Los Angeles following a violent security breach at her Hollywood Hills residence. The decision comes after a harrowing incident on the evening of March 8, 2026, when an unidentified woman allegedly opened fire near the perimeter of the singer’s estate, prompting a massive law enforcement response.

According to reports from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), officers responded to a “shots fired” call at approximately 10:15 p.m. Witnesses in the area described seeing a woman in her late 30s approaching the gated entrance of the property before discharging multiple rounds from a handgun into the air and toward the security post. While Rihanna’s private security team was able to retreat to safety and initiate a lockdown, the suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan before patrol units arrived.

Sources close to the “Lift Me Up” singer indicate that while neither Rihanna nor her partner, A$AP Rocky, were physically harmed, the psychological toll of the event was immediate. “This was the final straw,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “Rihanna has dealt with stalkers and trespassers for years, but the introduction of a firearm changed everything. Her primary focus is the safety of her two young sons, RZA and Riot, and she no longer feels that is possible in Southern California.”

By the morning of March 10, moving trucks were spotted at the property, and the family is believed to have flown to a private, undisclosed location, rumored to be her native Barbados or a high-security estate in the tri-state area. The move marks a significant departure from the city that has served as the base for her Fenty Beauty empire and musical career for over a decade.

The LAPD has since recovered shell casings from the scene and is currently reviewing high-definition surveillance footage to identify the shooter. No arrests have been made as of Tuesday morning, though investigators are looking into whether the woman has any prior history of stalking the singer.
