A woman has been arrested after allegedly firing multiple shots at Rihanna's Beverly Hills home while Rihanna was inside the residence, authorities confirmed.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire at the property at around 1:21 p.m. on Sunday, March 8. A suspect was later

taken into custody without incident and a weapon was recovered. No injuries were reported.

Police said the suspect, identified by authorities only as a 30-year-old woman, allegedly fired several rounds from a vehicle toward the property before leaving the area. The case is now being handled by the LAPD's Robbery-Homicide Division as investigators work to determine a motive.

A source confirmed that Rihanna was home at the time of the incident. The singer lives at the Beverly Hills residence with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their three children: RZA, Riot Rose and Rocki Irish Mayers. The source said the singer is safe following the incident.

Law enforcement officials told the Los Angeles Times that the shots were fired from inside a vehicle parked across the street from the home. Dispatch audio obtained by the outlet indicated that roughly ten shots may have been fired during the incident.

Investigators also said the suspect allegedly used an AR-15-style rifle and fired several rounds toward the property. Reports indicated that multiple bullets or fragments struck parts of the house, with at least one round penetrating a wall.

Police said the suspect fled the scene in a white Tesla, heading south on Coldwater Canyon Drive shortly after the shooting. Officers later located the vehicle and arrested the woman at a shopping centre parking lot in Sherman Oaks about 30 minutes after the initial 911 call. Authorities have not released the suspect's identity, and it remains unclear what prompted the shooting.

Neighbours in the area reported hearing the gunfire during the afternoon. One resident described hearing a series of loud pops before realizing they were gunshots. "I was just washing dishes in my house, and I heard shots," neighbour Isabel Thorne said. "I was a little shocked. You know, we don't hear that kind of thing in this neighbourhood."

Another neighbour, Keith England, said the sound of the gunfire was unmistakable. "It's a pretty unmistakable sound. Bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, like probably ten shots," he said. "That's not a car backfiring, that's not fireworks, that's somebody shooting a gun."

According to a source, A$AP Rocky was not home at the time of the shooting.

Rihanna purchased the Beverly Hills property in 2021. The home is located in a neighbourhood known for housing several high-profile residents. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
