Amy Schumer proved she still has her signature dance energy more than a decade after her famous Trainwreck routine. The comedian, 44, lit up Madison Square Garden on Sunday, March 1, when she attended the New York Knicks game against the San Antonio Spurs and found herself featured on the arena’s “Mom Moves Dance Cam.”

Amy Schumer appeared more than ready when the camera turned her way. Sitting courtside with actress and friend Francis Benhamou, Schumer jumped right into action, enthusiastically showing off her so called mom dance moves. Dressed in Knicks gear and clearly in high spirits, she embraced the playful moment as the crowd watched her on the big screen.

“Mom Dance Cam coming in hard,” she later wrote on her Instagram Story, sharing a clip of the moment with fans.

The night was a winning one for Schumer in more ways than one. The New York Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs 114 to 89, giving the longtime Knicks fan even more reason to celebrate. She also posted a smiling selfie from the stands alongside her friends, captioning it, “Said go New York @nyknicks.”

Schumer’s connection to the Knicks runs deep. In her 2015 comedy Trainwreck, she famously performed a choreographed dance routine with the Knicks City Dancers in a grand romantic gesture to her boyfriend Aaron, played by Bill Hader. The scene quickly became one of the film’s most memorable moments and cemented her bond with the team and its fans.

Earlier this year in February 2025, Schumer even recreated that iconic dance at another Knicks game, stepping onto the court with the City Dancers once again. More than ten years after Trainwreck first hit theaters, she showed she could still commit fully to the bit and have fun doing it.

Sunday’s game also drew several other well known faces. According to a post shared by the Knicks, celebrities including Larry David, Ben Stiller, Whoopi Goldberg and Christine Baranski were in attendance.

The outing comes during a period of personal change for Schumer. In January, she filed for divorce from husband Chris Fischer after more than seven years of marriage. The former couple shares a 6 year old son, Gene. While navigating this new chapter, Schumer has been open about focusing on herself and her well being.

She recently celebrated losing 50 pounds and has spoken candidly about feeling strong and confident. After sharing photos from a shoot, she addressed critics directly on Instagram, writing that posting pictures when you feel strong and beautiful is not a cry for help but a celebration of life and health. She also shared a message of support for single moms, adding that this year is about self care and self love.

Between cheering on her favorite team, recreating an iconic movie moment and embracing her personal growth, Schumer continues to show fans that she is unapologetically herself both on and off the court.
