Actor Jena Malone has confirmed she is engaged to fellow performer Jack Buckley, sharing the news publicly in February and offering a personal reflection on their relationship alongside images from the proposal.
The Hunger Games alum revealed the engagement on February 11 through a joint social media post, where she described the significance of the moment and Buckley's effort to involve those closest to her before proposing. "My soulmate asked me to marry him. First, he asked those who have protected and cared for my heart for so long. Both of my moms, my sister, my son ... and with every lifetime, every moment I have in front of me I said yes," she wrote.
Malone also addressed her fiancé directly in the announcement, characterizing the relationship as deeply meaningful and long-standing. In the same message, she described him as "a dream come true" and added, "I love you forever!!!"
The post included poetic lines reflecting on personal growth and connection, opening with the words, "It was always you," and recalling earlier stages of her life when she was learning independence and emotional resilience. The message framed the engagement as the culmination of that journey.
Malone shares a son, Ode, born in 2016 with former partner Ethan DeLorenzo. She has previously spoken about the importance of family support in her life, noting in an earlier interview that "The sexual journey is so beautiful," while describing the process of understanding identity and self-discovery. She also acknowledged growing up in a supportive household and expressed appreciation for encouragement from relatives.
