Claire Danes offers a glimpse into her homeland.
Two years after giving birth to her and husband Hugh Dancy's third child, the My So-Called Life actress revealed some heartwarming details about her children, including the name of her daughter, Shay.
"I love watching toddlers dance when they jump and do the bouncing thing," Claire stated on Amy Poehler's Good Hang podcast on January 27. "And Shay, my baby, is very in her head and dreamy, and she sometimes does this [head-swaying] dance. "I'm like, 'That's fabulous.
The 46-year-old added of the 2-year-old, whose name she had not previously revealed, "She's really fun."
While Shay enjoys dancing, her 13-year-old brother Cyrus is not as enthusiastic.
"My eldest son turned 13, and it's like a superpower I have," the Homeland alum—who also has a seven-year-old son, Rowan, with Hugh—continued. "A little wiggle in public and he'll cross the street. "I can mortify him in a millisecond."
Claire enjoys spending her free time with her children, in addition to hosting dance parties. In fact, she "went hard on the embroidery for a while" and began sewing outfits for her children.
"I embroidered onesies for, of course, all of my kids," she explained, before admitting she ran out of steam with her "unlikely" third child. "I have (unfinished) one for Shay, this third child. She doesn't wear onesies anymore. I've missed that chance.”
Claire told Amy, "I am confessing. I am actually confessing to you. It's half-finished beside my bed."
In fact, the Beast in Me actress admitted she was completely unprepared for her third child, stating that she "totally" freaked out when she discovered she was unexpectedly pregnant with Shay at the age of 44.
"I called my OBGYN in convulsive tears," she told me. "It was all meltdown."
And, while Claire has settled into life as a mother of three, she admits that her later-in-life pregnancy was not planned. I didn't realize it was physically possible."
