Jim Curtis is offering a rare glimpse into his growing romance with Jennifer Aniston.
The hypnotherapist and wellness expert appeared on the Today show on Monday, Jan. 26, to promote his book The Book of Possibility, but the conversation quickly turned personal when host Craig Melvin asked about his relationship with the Friends alum.
Curtis explained that their love story began in a low-key way. "We were introduced by friends," he said, adding that they discovered they shared several mutual connections and simply began talking. "That's really how it started. We just chatted."
Those early conversations, however, didn't immediately turn romantic. Curtis shared that their bond developed slowly over time. "It took a long time," he noted. "We talked for months and became close first."
While he avoided giving an exact timeline, Curtis did reveal that they are approaching an important milestone. "A long time, months now, almost close to a year," he said, prompting Melvin to tease him about blushing on-air. Curtis laughed and admitted, "Okay, yeah, I sure am."
The couple made their relationship Instagram official in November, when Aniston shared a photo from Curtis' 50th birthday celebration, writing, "Happy birthday my love. Cherished ❤️." Curtis later echoed the sentiment with a heartfelt post of his own.
Before going public, the pair sparked romance rumors in July 2025 after they were spotted vacationing together in Mallorca, Spain, alongside friends including Jason Bateman and Amy Schumer. Later that year, they stepped out together at the ELLE Women in Hollywood Celebration.
Earlier this month, a source told PEOPLE that Aniston feels "very happy and comfortable" with Curtis. "She's always been fine on her own," the insider shared, "but this relationship feels different. He's supportive, kind, and genuinely makes her everyday life better."
