Brad Pitt is in a positive place as he marks his 62nd birthday, with sources saying the actor is feeling fulfilled both personally and professionally.

An insider tells PEOPLE that Pitt is "doing really well" after what has been another strong year for the Oscar winner. While he remains enthusiastic about his career, the source says he is especially excited about his relationship with girlfriend Ines de Ramon. "She's perfect for him. They're great together," the insider adds.

Pitt celebrated his birthday on Thursday, Dec. 18, with de Ramon turning 33 the following day. Because their birthdays fall just one day apart, the couple typically acknowledges each other's actual birthdays with smaller, private moments before planning a larger celebration with friends later on. According to the source, they also plan to extend the celebrations through the holiday season.

"He's celebrating Christmas and New Year's with Ines," the insider says, adding that the couple has created their own traditions together. Rather than large gatherings, they prefer quieter occasions spent with a close circle of friends, focusing on making the time meaningful and relaxed.

Pitt and de Ramon have been linked romantically since 2022, and those close to the pair say their bond continues to grow stronger. The source notes that Pitt appreciates the calm and stability he has found in this chapter of his life.

Professionally, the actor has remained busy. He has been filming in Los Angeles for The Adventures of Cliff Booth, reprising his award winning role from Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The project reunites Pitt with director David Fincher, following their previous collaborations on Se7en, Fight Club and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Earlier this year, Pitt also saw major success with his racing drama F1, which became a global box office hit and earned two Golden Globe nominations. In addition, he is expected to reunite with longtime friend and collaborator George Clooney for another installment in the Ocean's franchise.

Despite the packed schedule, the source says Pitt is already looking ahead to some downtime. "Brad's had a very busy work year," the insider explains. "He's looking forward to having a break between projects in 2026."

In a previous interview with GQ, Pitt reflected on aging and said turning 60 made him more aware of life's fleeting nature. He shared that he now focuses more on enjoying the people he loves and appreciating everyday moments, describing this phase of his life as fresh, grounded and quietly fulfilling.
