Donald Trump Jr. and Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson are engaged, with the announcement made during a White House holiday gathering on December 15. The news was shared publicly by U.S. President Donald Trump at the event and later confirmed by media reports.
Footage from the celebration shows Trump Jr. addressing guests while standing alongside Anderson. Speaking to the crowd, he said, "It's not often that I'm at a loss for words, 'cause we usually do the ranting and raving really well." He continued, "But this is a little different. But I just want to wish you guys an incredible holiday season, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year." Turning his attention to Anderson, he added, "And to thank Bettina for that one word, 'yes.'" He also described the engagement as "a big win for the end of the year."
Anderson also spoke during the event, describing the moment as deeply meaningful. "This has really been the most unforgettable weekend of my life," she said. "And I get to marry the love of my life. And I just feel like the luckiest girl in the world."
The relationship entered the public spotlight toward the end of last year after the two were spotted together in Palm Beach, Florida, during celebrations for Anderson's birthday. They have also appeared together at events related to President Trump's inauguration earlier this year.
Anderson grew up in Palm Beach and comes from a family with a background in banking. Her father, Harry Loy Anderson Jr., was appointed president of Worth Avenue National Bank at just 26 years old, a role that earned him recognition as the youngest individual to lead a national bank at the time, according to media reports.
The engagement announcement at the White House placed Trump Jr. and Anderson's relationship firmly in the public eye as the year draws to a close.
