The actress explained her and her Priscilla costar's offscreen relationship status after Jacob's phone wallpaper was revealed to be a photo of them singing karaoke, sparking romance suspicions.
"This was a great night," Cailee stated during an interview on Today on December 9. "He's a dear friend, and I'm so proud of him."
The 27-year-old went on to describe the picture's origin tale, saying, "He came to London, and I was in town. Karaoke is the only way to celebrate anything. So, like you, we're probably singing Shakira or whatever."
Indeed, the Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man actress and Euphoria actor had a valid reason to celebrate.
"We were just celebrating his incredible performance in Frankenstein," she told me. "He's just gotten two Golden Globe nominations for Frankenstein and his show Narrow Road to the Deep North, and I'm just so proud of him."
During the November 6 episode of the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast, Jacob revealed that their pleasant outing had influenced his upbringing. After host Josh Horowitz inquired what Jacob's background was, he proudly displayed it. phone
"Right now, my wallpaper is me and my beautiful friend Cailee Spaeny from Priscilla," he added. Josh replied, "I adore her."
Jacob shared the emotion, saying, "I love her." "What a performer!"
Cailee and Jacob, 28, co-starred in the 2023 film about Priscilla Presley's courtship with Elvis Presley. Cailee waxed lyrical about her and Jacob's on-set rapport.
"You can just really tell in his performances how seriously he takes it," she told E! News in November 2023. "And I believe we share the same work ethic, which is a relief. It says nothing about the actors, yet they do quite different things for each job."
"I think it was just like, we're both sort of nerds and are really intense with this stuff," she told me. "We bonded before going to film this movie, which I thought was really important. We knew that we had to trust each other before we went into this."
