English actor Jonathan Bailey has officially been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive 2025, and fans across the world couldn’t agree more. The 37-year-old Bridgerton and Fellow Travelers star has captured hearts with his charm, wit, and raw talent — all while remaining refreshingly grounded.
For his cover shoot, Bailey proved just how committed he is to authenticity. He plunged into the freezing waters off a beach south of London — his idea — before warming up with a glass of Bordeaux, his trademark smile lighting up the room. Dressed in relaxed yet effortlessly stylish looks — from Levi’s jeans to an Armani suit — Bailey’s natural confidence radiated through every frame.
Bailey’s rise to fame began in 2020 when Netflix’s Bridgerton made him an international sensation. “I had the radio set for my alarm, and one morning it went off with, ‘Here’s the news at 7. But just before we go, can we talk about Jonathan Bailey?’” he recalled, laughing. Since then, his career has soared, earning him an Emmy nomination for Fellow Travelers and landing major roles in Wicked (2024) and Jurassic World: Rebirth (2025).
Raised in rural Oxfordshire alongside three sisters, Bailey knew he wanted to act at age five after watching Oliver! With his grandmother. By seven, he was already performing with the Royal Shakespeare Company — a testament to his lifelong dedication to storytelling.

In 2024, he launched The Shameless Fund, a charity supporting organizations that help erase shame within the community. “There’s so many people that want to do brilliant stuff who feel like they can’t,” he explains. “It’s been amazing to see the potential that I could have only dreamed of.”
When asked about his future, Bailey is thoughtful. He hopes to become a father someday — and maybe even return to finish his unfinished university courses on volcanoes and tsunamis. For now, though, he’s embracing the ride. “Life is a ride for everyone,” he reflects. “It’s just making sure that when you’re in the ride, you’re looking left and right and making sure everyone’s all right.”
