Bella Thorne is shaking it up—by getting engaged again. The Disney Channel alum proposed to fiancé Mark Emms over two years after he first popped the question in May 2023.Bella wrote, "3 years ago we met," as the caption for a carousel Instagram post that showed her proposal on August 16. "1 year later he proposed, and now 1 year later, so did I."
The 27-year-old posted pictures and videos of herself proposing to Mark in front of candles, flowers, and balloons in the shape of hearts, as if they were at home. While Mark wore a black t-shirt, jeans, and a baseball hat, she was dressed more casually in black pants, a white sweatshirt, and heels. Her hair was pulled back in a ponytail.
In addition, Bella posted two selfies of herself and the 45-year-old sharing a cheek kiss as they celebrated their second engagement.
Following the influx of comments on her post, the Shake It Up actress laughed at the conflicted response to her proposal.
"The comments on my post are hilarious!!" On August 17, Bella posted a message on her Instagram Stories about a picture of Mark and their dog playing. "Completely divided in half. When you propose to your partner, half of you say, "Let's not normalize it." The other half, "F--k yeah, girl power, this is the sweetest!"
One year after meeting Bella on the beach in Ibiza during a trip with pal Cara, the businessman himself proposed to her at her California home in May 2023.
Bella, who broke off her engagement to Benjamin Mascolo in 2022, also talked about her dream wedding at the time, saying she wanted to wear vintage Dior or Schiaparelli gowns and get married on a country estate in England.
She cried out, "Every bride needs four gowns, not just one!"
