Jennifer Lopez was denied entry into a Chanel store in Istanbul on Monday, and instead dropped tens of thousands of dollars at neighboring fashion houses after refusing to return, according to Turkish outlet Türkiye Today.

The 56-year-old singer, dressed in a baby pink set with matching sunglasses, was stopped by a security guard at the door of the boutique inside Istinye Park, one of the city's most upscale malls. The guard reportedly told Lopez the store was at full capacity, prompting the star to simply reply, "OK, no problem," before walking away without protest.

Chanel staff later attempted to invite the pop icon back inside once the store cleared out, but Lopez declined, and headed next door. She is said to have splurged on luxury pieces at Celine and Beymen instead, spending what sources estimate as "tens of thousands" of dollars within the hour.

The shopping incident unfolded just hours before Lopez's performance at Yenikapi Festival Park, part of Istanbul's annual summer festival. She has not posted about the Aug. 5 show on Instagram, a contrast to her usual post-concert recaps.

Lopez is currently on her 19-stop "Up All Night" world tour, which began in Vigo, Spain, and ends Aug. 12 in Sardinia. The Istanbul concert marked her second stop in Turkey,  she previously performed at the Regnum Carya Resort in Antalya on July 23, the day before her birthday.

On Instagram, Lopez shared moments from that celebration: "What a gift you all are! Thank you so much for all your beautiful birthday wishes," she captioned the post. Back in the U.S., Lopez is preparing for the release of Kiss of the Spider Woman, her upcoming musical film alongside Diego Luna. Directed by Bill Condon, the movie hits theaters Oct. 10.
