Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt, stepped out together on Sunday night, turning the red carpet into a headline. Their appearance at the Los Angeles premiere of The Pickup wasn't just about the film, it was about the baby.
It marked the couple's first official outing since Davidson confirmed they're expecting. Held at Regal LA Live, the event featured co-stars like Eddie Murphy, Eva Longoria, and Keke Palmer, but the buzz followed the couple from the moment they arrived.
Hewitt, glowing in a floor-length black dress that subtly framed her bump, kept it simple: minimal jewelry, soft curls, clean makeup. Davidson kept it Pete, aid-back but styled, with a brown Telfar tracksuit, white sneakers, shades, and a quiet grin. He wrapped an arm around her belly during photo ops. At one point, they kissed.
Their red carpet moment comes just a week after Fallon asked Davidson if the rumors were true. "Yeah," he said. "We're having a baby. I'm so excited to be a dad. And Elsie, she's going to be an amazing mom."
The relationship is still new, and the pregnancy, reportedly, wasn't planned. But according to a source who spoke with Us Weekly, the couple's reaction was immediate and mutual: joy. "It brought them closer. He's grown up a lot. He's sober. This wouldn't have happened a few years ago."
The Pickup, an Amazon MGM heist comedy, drops on Prime Video August 6. Davidson stars alongside Murphy, Longoria, and Andrew Dice Clay. But at the premiere, it wasn't Travis the getaway driver who stole the show, it was Pete, the soon-to-be dad.
