Kelly Clarkson has made the decision to cut her long hair. The singer of "Behind These Hazel Eyes" debuted a shorter hairstyle, forgoing her trademark blonde waves in favor of a side-swept, darker look, when she revealed that she would be returning to The Voice in the spring of 2026 for season 29.
Kelly rocked the shoulder-length bob in a July 22 Instagram video with returning coaches John Legend and Adam Levine. She was dressed in black slacks, matching black pumps, and a loose-collared white button-up shirt.
The 43-year-old hinted at the forthcoming season by saying, "This time, we got some tricks up our sleeves." "Get ready, everyone."
Although Kelly, who has two children with her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, River Rose, age 11, and Remington Alexander, age 9, appears to have given up her longer hairstyle, she is not the first NBC family member to choose a haircut this summer.
Jenna Bush Hager, the namesake of Today With Jenna & Friends, got a dramatic haircut live on the morning show last month after being inspired by guest co-host Leslie Bibb's signature bob.
On the June 17 episode of the show, Jenna introduced her final haircut to the White Lotus actress, saying, "This is my hair." "I feel a little... Are you familiar with the 1990s film Single White Female, in which you attempt to imitate someone to a great degree? After you made this hairstyle so well-known, I hired your hairstylist, who is a star, to get the exact same haircut, and I'm feeling a little strange.”
Chris McMillan—the hairstylist responsible for Jenna's new hairstyle and the man behind Jennifer Aniston's famous Friends haircut, "The Rachel"—explained that short hair is the summertime trend, despite the former First Daughter's initial hesitancy.
Last month, the stylist told E! News that "people are, for the summer, going for a chop above the shoulders." "Even though it's dramatic, it fades. When it matures, it will be extremely healthy. You have a good perimeter. Dead ends are eliminated. You eliminate some undesirable color. You even have layers. It resembles a rediagnosis of the hair.
