Jason Kelce still remembers the day he met Taylor Swift, and it wasn't exactly a quiet introduction.
During the July 23 episode of the New Heights podcast, Jason and his brother Travis Kelce, looked back on the viral moment from the 2024 AFC Divisional Playoff game against the Buffalo Bills. That's when Jason, in full celebration mode, ripped off his shirt in the suite, let out a yell, and jumped into the crowd, beer in hand.
"Do you understand how proud I am to be the reason that you did this ridiculous pose?" Travis asked, laughing. "This is what my dream was, to make human beings do."
Jason explained what led to the wild moment: "Combined with drinking for an entire six hours with Bills Mafia before the game got me real excited." He then added, "That was a f------ really fun day. The first time I met your girlfriend, so that was, it was an all timer."
Photos from the suite captured Taylor seated beside Brittany Mahomes, with Jason positioned just behind them. His wife, Kylie, was also in attendance, and it appeared she wasn't particularly thrilled about his behaviour during the game. "I gave Kylie a heads-up the moment we got into the suite. And she said, 'Jason, don't you dare,'" he shared. "She was already telling me to be on my best behaviour because we were meeting Taylor."
Still, Jason shrugged it off. "When I met you, the first day I met you I was black-out drunk and fell asleep at the bar. This is part of the Jason Kelce charm."
Travis chimed in, "Once a Kelce man's determined, there's no f------ stopping him."
Kylie addressed the speculation surrounding her delayed meeting with Taylor, explaining that the rumours had been blown out of proportion. She clarified that there was no intentional avoidance between them and pointed out that Taylor's busy schedule simply made it difficult for their paths to cross sooner.
Jason later confirmed that Taylor also met their youngest daughter, Finnley, born in March saying it was really special.
