Following her divorce from Sacha Baron Cohen, Isla Fisher has some ideas about getting married. The Now You See Me star posted a mysterious message explaining why some women are "against marriage" these days, one month after announcing that she and the comedian had officially separated.
Originally shared on the @sheinspiresstrength account, the quote card read, "For all those men who say, 'Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?'" and was posted on her Instagram Story on July 16. "Here’s an update for you."
The Now You See Me star posted a mysterious message explaining why some women are "against marriage" these days, one month after announcing that she and the comedian had officially separated.
According to the post, some women are opting to remain single. The message asked, "Why?" "Because women understand that purchasing a whole pig for a small amount of sausage is not worth it."
On her Instagram grid, Isla also joked about men by posting a graphic that appeared to be from a news article with the caption, "Man Was Found to Be Missing 90% of His Brain But Was Still Living a Normal Life."
The 49-year-old joked, "Are you sure it's just one man they found?" in the caption.
Isla's fans quickly assumed that she was making a reference to her ex-husband, to whom she had been married for 13 years prior to their divorce in 2023. One fan shared a GIF of Sacha in the comments section.
Another commenter, however, wrote, "What's crazy is even with something this vague, pretty much everyone knows who's being referred to."
Isla and Sacha, 53, are dedicated to co-parenting their three children, however, for what it's worth. In 2024, they announced their separation, saying, "We forever share in our devotion and love for our children."
When the ex-couple announced in June that their divorce was finalized, they reaffirmed that sentiment.
Isla and Sacha posted on their individual Instagram Stories, saying, "We are proud of all we've achieved together, and, continuing our great respect for each other, we remain friends and committed to co-parenting our wonderful children."
