Natasha "Tash" Archer, Kate Middleton's secretary, is changing careers. Kensington Palace revealed to E! News that the 37-year-old, who has worked as the Princess of Wales' personal assistant for 15 years, is leaving the private home to launch her own private consultancy.
After joining the royal family in 2010 as Kate and Prince William's personal assistant, Natasha later became Kate's unofficial stylist. The couple has three children together: Prince George, 11; Princess Charlotte, 10; and Prince Louis, 7.
Notably, Natasha has urged Kate to push the limits of royal fashion and selected hundreds of exquisite gowns for her, including pieces from upscale designers like Jenny Packham and Alexander McQueen. She has also attempted to upcycle a number of Kate's looks in recent years.
The assistant-turned-stylist, who married royal photographer Chris Jackson in 2017, has not only created the "Kate Middleton effect," which is the phenomenon where fashion items sell out within moments of Kate wearing them, but she has also traveled the world with the royal and seen some of her most memorable moments.
In fact, Kate's renowned aide was spotted bringing a dress and a baby seat to the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital just before she gave birth to Prince George in 2013. In order to ensure the princess was always ready for the camera, she even accompanied Kate and her longtime hairstylist Amanda Cook Tucker on a climb to the Tiger Nest monastery, a revered Buddhist location in the Himalayas, during a weeklong tour of India and Bhutan in 2016.
Naturally, she has also assisted in choosing Kate and William's attire for a number of events throughout the years, including overseas trips to Australia and New Zealand.
The loyal, dependable employee, who has two sons with her husband of eight years, was recognized for her devoted service to the royal couple in 2019 by receiving the Royal Victorian Order in the Queen's honors list, which is often given to former employees. She was elevated to the position of senior private executive assistant a few years later.
